Helping You Untangle the Chaos Without Losing Your Spark

Hi, I’m Kamryan Mong — a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and EMDR-trained therapist based in Hot Springs, Arkansas. I specialize in helping women and moms navigate trauma, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions with empathy, creativity, and a little humor when it’s needed most.

That said — I also work with individuals from all walks of life who are ready to heal old wounds, build self-awareness, and create lasting change. Whether you're trying to break free from survival mode, make peace with your past, or simply feel more like yourself again, I’m here to support you.

Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and never cookie-cutter. I blend trauma-informed practices like EMDR with a real-world, person-centered approach that values honesty, self-compassion, and connection. I especially enjoy working with those navigating complex trauma, chronic stress, or major life transitions — and those who’ve always felt a little “different.”

In addition to individual therapy, I offer small group therapy for clients looking for support, shared understanding, and the reminder that healing doesn’t have to happen alone. My groups cover topics like trauma recovery, identity after motherhood, self-esteem, and creative expression — and are offered both online and in person.

Outside of therapy, I’m a mom, mental health advocate, creative spirit, and believer in the power of empathy, rest, and a well-placed f-bomb.

If you're ready to get started, I’d love to connect. I offer virtual therapy across Arkansas and am currently accepting new clients.

  • In your first session, we’ll focus on getting to know each other. I’ll ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy, your background, and your goals. My approach is person-centered and collaborative, meaning we’ll work together to tailor a treatment plan that fits your unique needs.

  • Yes! I work with children ages 4 and up. My approach with children involves creating a warm, safe environment where they feel comfortable expressing themselves. I use age-appropriate methods tailored to their developmental needs.

  • Therapy can benefit anyone facing personal challenges—whether it's life transitions, trauma, mental health struggles, or relationship difficulties. If you're looking for support and a safe space to explore your thoughts and feelings, therapy might be right for you. Don't be discouraged by past negative experiences; there's a therapist for everyone. My goal is to ensure you get the best care, even if that means helping you find other resources.

  • I draw on several therapeutic approaches, including person-centered, solution focused, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and KAP (Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy). I prioritize empathy, kindness, and creating a safe space where you feel heard and supported.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a therapy that helps people process and heal from trauma and distressing life experiences. It uses guided eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity. EMDR can benefit you by helping to relieve symptoms of anxiety, PTSD, and other trauma-related issues, allowing you to move forward with greater emotional balance and resilience.

  • The risks of EMDR are generally low, but some people may experience heightened emotions or distress during the therapy as they process difficult memories. This can lead to temporary feelings of anxiety, sadness, or vivid dreams. However, these reactions are typically short-lived, and a trained therapist will help guide you through the process safely. It's important to discuss any concerns with your therapist before starting EMDR to ensure it’s the right fit for you.

  • My fee for individual sessions is $75. Group therapy rates vary depending on the group, but typically range from $25 to $45 per session. I don’t accept insurance at this time, but I do offer a sliding scale for clients who need financial support. If cost is a concern, please don’t hesitate to reach out — I’m happy to talk through options and find something that works for you.
